Which Superior Essex cables may be installed in NFPA-130 applications?

Any plenum-rated optical fiber or copper data cable used in communications applications other than emergency communications circuits,
Any riser-rated optical fiber or copper data cable used in communications applications with additional “ST-1” listing (such as HZA and HZD) other than emergency communications circuits,
If used within the emergency ventilation air distribution system, any cable meeting one of the two previous requirements and contained in EMT, IMC, or RMC,
If used within the emergency communications circuits requiring 1-hour fire rating, no offering.

Proper installation methods per NFPA-130 must be followed. Always check the latest NFPA-130 revision to confirm compliance and check with your AHJ (this information is based on the 2020 NFPA-130 code).
