Product Management Director Amir Sekhavat to Participate in Net Zero Conference Panel on Sustainable Products

Atlanta, GA – Amir Sekhavat, Director of Product Management and Partnerships for Superior Essex Communications, will participate in a panel discussion at Net Zero Conference 2022, on Thursday, September 15, 3:15 to 4 p.m. PST. This panel will examine the benefits of creating sustainable products and how they can enhance to overall performance and contribute to carbon reduction goals.

Superior Essex is leading the cabling industry in sustainable manufacturing, producing products with responsibly sourced materials and reducing waste in its manufacturing facilities. From 2014 to 2019, the manufacturer reduced the embodied carbon of 26 cabling products. It manufactures eight product families certified as Red List Free. It also produces more than 55 product families that hold third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations and Health Product Declarations. In April 2022, its Hoisington, KS facility received Zero Waste to Landfill certification for the eighth consecutive year.

Currently, Superior Essex is part of three accountability and assurance partnerships for sustainability. The company recently announced its commitment to Science Based Targets imitative with an ambitious goal to halve its carbon emissions by 2030. It has also signed onto the mindful MATERIALS Manufacturer Materials Commitment and partnered with The Copper Mark since 2021.

Because the company creates products integral to the built environment, Superior Essex acknowledges its responsibility to create products that respect the planet and its people. Moreover, it continues to seek partnerships with likeminded companies to increase sustainability practices among all manufacturers, builders and internet communications providers.

The ninth annual Net Zero Conference and Expo will take place September 14-15 in Los Angeles. Superior Essex is a Forest level sponsor of the event and will exhibit at the conference at booth 3.
